New Pics, New Camera!

Hello! I know it's been quite a while since my last post, but believe me when I say it's been for very good and very busy reasons!

I have a number of projects in the works- some that I've already mentioned that are still in progress, and new ones as well- and juggling these things in an efficient manner is never easy. One thing that has been really encouraging is how much I love using the new Nikon D850 I recently bought and how that will enable me to even better achieve the results I want for the projects going forward. One aspect of the kinds of work I want to deliver is SIZE- and even though I previously had a fine set up, this makes a bigger difference than I had anticipated in terms of both size AND quality! These images are HUGE and look so great! And when I use the strategy of stitching multiple images together, the print size possibilities are incredible! (Although limited to the capabilities of the printers- but even then there are work-arounds in terms of dividing the work into sections- and having the option of doing 3-panel pieces for purchase is another development in the works!)

I have been using my new camera for a few weeks mostly for my architectural photography service, but I did have a chance to test it out in nature as well, shooting what I really love- the woods! I have another version of this image (below) up on my site already, but I did take a few different versions. If you like this version seen here as well or think it's even better, let me know and I can put it up too! These are huge multi-image shots and could easily be printed floor to ceiling and still look good up close!

Which inspired me to make wall-peels available for purchase as well! A great way to give an accent wall some woodsy flavour!

I will have photos from a Hawaii trip as well as a special architectural project (that has been in the works for quite some time) to share later in August-

until then,

James
